about the retreat
Join award-winning printmaker and designer Annika Reed for an immersive six-day/five-night retreat at the historic Court House Farm in Somerset — a place where creativity, craft, and calm converge.
Driven by her passion for storytelling and the allure of the whimsical, Annika infuses her work with a playful blend of historical, folkloric, and fantastical influences. Each roll of wallpaper and fabric is hand-carved using centuries-old block printing techniques, weaving narratives that bring her designs to life with joy, wonder, and meticulous craftsmanship.
Designed especially for interior designers, artists, and creative professionals, this retreat explores the full journey of wallpaper design and production — from concept sketch to repeat pattern, colour experimentation, and print. Working alongside Annika, you’ll discover how traditional craftsmanship can enrich contemporary interior design while sparking your own creative imagination.
Set within the gardens and studios of Court House Farm, the week offers a rare chance to step away from the everyday and immerse yourself in thoughtful making, professional inspiration, and a community of like-minded creatives. Expect time and space to reconnect with your craft, expand your design vocabulary, and leave with both tangible samples and renewed creative confidence.
