The ancient Tower House front door

Stay at Court House Farm

Turn the key in the ancient front door to Tower House and discover flag stone floors, 500 year old oak beams, stone mullion windows, herringbone backed fireplaces and authentic characterful, comfortable furnishings, yet all with the homely luxury of today. Sited next to the 12th Century church, walk through an arched doorway in the garden into the lime treed avenue leading to the church yard and Millennium Garden, all to the sound of hourly chimes.

Portishead is at the gateway to Bristol and Somerset, an estuary town famed for its World War Two shipping significance and unbeatable sunsets over the severn, with excellent motorway links to London, Bath, Devon, Dorset and Cornwall. Wales is also on the doorstep - just a bridge away. Portishead has a selection of eateries with various pubs and the fabulous Black Horse Inn just a few minutes drive along the road. The recently developed Marina is perfectly placed for adventure and the beautiful Lake Grounds good for a stroll and stunning view of the sunset.

It’s only a short drive to all that Bristol (visitbristol) and Somerset (visitsomerset) have to offer.

Tower House sleeps up to 10 guests in 5 double rooms for self-catering, although smaller numbers can be welcomed.
